MULTAN: Former Ruet-e-Hilal Committee member Mufti Abdul Qawi has said that the killer of slain model should be hanged.
Talking to the media here at his seminary Jamia Obaidia yesterday, he said that the brother of Qandeel Baloch committed a heinous crime against humanity and he should be punished for his crime.
“He murdered his sister and he should be hanged till death,” he demanded. He said his eyes got wet whenever Qandeel Baloch’s name was taken in front of him. He claimed that the deceased social media star was interested in a career in politics.
To a question, he said he did not receive any threats after selfies. “No one even misbehaved with me. Even people expressed more love with me,” he added.
Responding to another question, he said t donation of organs after the death by someone was permissible. “It has been declared permissible after consultation with top clerics of the country,” he added.
Qawi came under fire after his selfies with Qandeel and the issue cost him his membership of Ruet committee and the office of PTI.
